Supporting Reasons

The Valuation of Land Act 2001 requires you to fully state in detail the grounds/reasons for your objection. For example, if you are objecting to your values because you believe they are either too high, or too low it is strongly recommended that you include evidence which supports your contended values. Supporting evidence can include market sales or lease evidence of properties which are comparable to your property. Providing a clear explanation for your objection and supporting it with evidence will strengthen your case for a valuation adjustment.

Supporting Documentation

It is not compulsory to include supporting documentation under the Valuation of Land Act 2001, however by including relevant and valid evidence you will increase the validity and strength of your claim when objecting to values you contend to be too high or too low.
